I've been writing reviews of colognes for the past few weeks or so on this site and some of them are from samples I ordered for fragrancenet.com. One sample I didn't order but, instead, received for free, is one I've never heard called Exceptional…because it's for men. I was happy to get another sample in a package that arrived at my door but I have to admit the title made me laugh at how lame it is… because it is. Apparently, being alone was not enough. What ever. When I opened the vial of the fragrance, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this cologne and felt the need to add it to my review.

Just by looking at the note list you can tell that Exceptional will be a fruity/floral based cologne, which is my general preference for fragrances. Incense and musk help add spice and sophistication to the aroma and help create a masculine vibe in the scent. Right from my first judgment of this cologne, I really enjoyed the scent and was looking forward to wearing it during the day.
This is a very sweet and clean fragrance, with a definite feel to it. It is a men's cologne that can be called sexy in its subtle definition. This is definitely a fragrance that women love on men.
However, I tried wearing this cologne and both times it wore off quickly. I honestly had no idea that I was wearing a perfume. It was like 'it won't stick'. This morning, I put on more of Exceptional than I usually do with any other cologne and still, nothing. I'm disappointed that I didn't get a good performance on this scent because it's really amazing. Reading other reviews, I saw that others have the same complaint as me while it seems, other people, are very happy with the results they get. I don't know, I want to like this cologne but it's probably another scent like that by Dolce & Gabbana, which I can't invest in without its fragrance because it won't hold me. Perhaps, you may get different results.
